We Survived Our First Winter

     This Winter was generally pretty light compared to past New Hampshire Winters. We were able to effectively keep our heating costs down by plastic wrapping and insulating windows and fan vents. We did get blown around on very windy days, we hope that pouring a pad with hurricane tie downs will help keep us a little more sturdy.

     With Winter in the past now we are preparing to head to our Final Destination. These Preparations include starting our garden, preparing the land for our arrival , fixing the road, getting our solar system set up , as well as our water system prepared. We also have to apply for a Driveway permit and Building permit. Our plan is to just build an addition on to the Trailer we have, with this we would need to follow the NH manufactured housing codes. It honestly seems like a lot of stuff so its very important to read and go over everything with a fine tooth comb as they say to make sure your I's are dotted and your T's are crossed. 

       This is a very scary situation, I have so many fears about what could happen, if the town doesn't approve or if they want us to upgrade the road or if our neighbors put up a stink about us fixing the road. There is soooo many possibilities that could happen . Not to mention we just found out my husband potentially has a career ending disability that could make him more available to the Farm but also he will be recovering and healing. But we have to go, we have to do this now. We are running out of options, either build an addition or find an apartment and that is not the direction we want. 

    On a lighter note we have filled out the paperwork to become an LLC and we have been doing research into things we can farm that we never thought of but could be successful from worms to minnows to flowers and flower biproduct . We have also planted A BUNCH of seeds and will continue to add seeds to our garden , our plan is to get there a year round greenhouse for all year growth. As you can see I have A LOT of goals for this Company/Brand and I'm anxious to get out there and get started on everything we need to do. It feels like I'm just kind of stagnant waiting to get out there and start the rest of my life .
